Customer Reviews
To be fair, this suit seems very well constructed. Though the fabric is quite coarse, the jacket lining is very comfortable and the pants are lined to the knee. The stitching is all solid and the lines are true. That said, the suit looks a little different from the images (due to resolution, rather than any intent of deception, I'm sure). The suit is just barely off white, not as cream colored as it appears in the photos and the stripes are actually a wide gray pinstripe alternating with a thin brown rain stripe. The fabric is coarse, but breathes very nicely. My biggest problem, and the reason I will be returning this today, rather than "thinking about it", is that this suit is not for the slimmer wearer. To call the tailoring "generous" is an understatement. The waist of my pants (mine were 32") fit a bit snugly, while the legs seemed wide. The jacket (mine was 38") could have come in 1/2" an inch in the shoulders, but there was fabric everywhere else. I tend to like a more European cut, but this jacket could easily lose at least 10" of fabric around the chest. It really feels like I am wearing a toga. This might be perfect for some wearers, but for the slimmer person, it is hard to imagine that having this suit altered would be worth the expense.
