Having five pair of Birkenstock sandals, two are of the Betula line, I must say the pair I just received are really not a true size 5. They are smaller than any of the others in my possesion.

These are nice-a good value for the money, but they are not as comfortable as true Birkenstocks. The size seems to run a teeny bit small and it's taking a while to wear them in.

With the 1st pair, I ordered my regular shoe size. They were a little too short so I immediately ordered a 2nd pair next size up. Definitely worth it! They are wonderful!

Because of the good arch support, if you have flat feet there will be some discomfort as the shoe molds to your foot. I have flat (and pre-arthritic) feet and have been getting blisters and soreness in the arch area. I will continue to wear them, knowing all will be better as soon as the foot bed molds to my feet.

Love them. When I wear them my bunions and the bottoms of my feet don't hurt. I would recommend them to anyone that is on their fee alot and wants to be comfortable.

i have worn birkenstocks for years...to keep my feet happy...these are great..softleather and lots of comfort.. charcoal black color that goes with everything

takes a few uses to break in, but eventually molds into your feet and you won't want to wear anything else. for the "always on the go" , no back straps may be the way to go, coz it does take a few seconds to buckle (i have a no-backstrap pair which gets worn a tad more often for this reason).

This was the first time I purchased a Betula. This is the most comfortable shoe. I will be purchasing more. I am a teacher and stand all day and I did not have any foot pain, swelling or discomfort. Highly Recommend

Betula sandals look just like their Birkenstock cousins, except for a few things: the straps are SHORTER, the shoe bed itself is somewhat smaller all around (probably about a european size difference) and the arch is less pronounced. Accepting these differences this is a fine sandal at a far more accessible price.

These sandals are just what my picky feet need for all-day comfort and support.
