I was excited to get this coat, because it does look fabulous -- but I was so disappointed when it came. It smelt funny (overpowering chemical smell), the fabric felt cheap and scratchy and the size was tight. I always fit a size small in overcoats, and this was tight under the arms and chest. The color is great, and the style is terrific and I guess I should have expected this from the low price -- but usually you get what you pay for and this was no exception to that rule.

When I received the jacket, not only was I disappointed in the quality of the fabric (it feels like felt), but the sizing was very unbalanced. I normally wear size XS or S in coats, depending on the style and designer. I ordered the S and when I tried it on, the arms were so tight I felt like I was in a straight jacket and couldn't move. The rest of the jacket fit fine, could have even fit more snug in the body. To sum it up, I would not recommend this item - - low quality. Looks great in the photos though!

I get complimented every time I wear this coat; strangers literally stop me on the sidewalk and ask me where I got this coat. Cost per wear, it's a good value, but the coat is thin, and the decorative button popped off the shoulder on which I carry my purse. Also, the zipper is totally inoperative now, and I will have to replace it. The zipper will no longer stay together.

I had to send the coat back because it was too tight in the shoulders and arms and smooshed my chest down. I did love the unique, military trench-style look, but it wasn't worth the discomfort.

I bought this coat in the Green-M. I'm a middle of the road medium, but although the coat fit well, even with some room in the waist, the shoulders run pretty darn tight. But what the coat lacks in reach, it makes up for in cuteness. Especially the green, very bright and one-of-a-kind. Also, the material is a bit on the cheap side.

I'm really glad I purchased this coat. I love the uniqueness of the style and the features like the deep pockets and zip up front, the sleeve length is nice and long, too. The only thing I noticed that might be a problem for others is the arms are pretty snug, especially at first. If it was a little thicker and warmer this coat would be near perfect.

I loved the look and feel of it. I bought this coat in the color green and the color is awesome. I would recommend to anyone looking to wear a very stylish coat in green.

Love the coat...nothing else to say, except that I wish they had had more left in my size in other colors.

This is a coat is well worth the price. Even better than I expected!

I was a little scared buying this product, it looked great in the pictures but, the reviews weren't so good. I took the risk and I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived today. The fabric does feel a little thin (like a thick felt) but, it looks GREAT!, it's very flattering and nicely finished. If you are looking for a thick wool coat, maybe this is not it, if you are looking for a stylish, nicely fitted one....this is the one.

I bought this expecting the worse. I had never tried BB Dakota products before, so I wasn't sure of the quality. In the end, I think the quality is good for the price. I agree with the reviewer below in that the exterior fabric feels a bit cheap, but it was nice to try on a wool coat that was soft rather than scratchy. The fabric is heavy, making it feel more substantial. The fit is mostly true to size. It was just a bit snug in the shoulders, but I'd prefer that to being too loose. I didn't notice it at all being to obig in the body. All in all, if the coat hadn't been so cheap, I wouldn't have kept it.
