My sister bought this dress for me and I am soooo happy that i got it. This is a beautiful dress the color is a rich plum and it looks much better than the picture. The picture doesn't do any justice to it. I am 5 10" so the dress is mid calf lenght for me and has a vintage feel to it. i love this dress, a great buy!

Beautiful silk dress. Not very structured or warm may be nice worn with a cropped cardigan. Longer and more flowing than I thought. Could be dressed up and worn to a more formal event or to a cozier evening with friends.

I ended up returning the dress because it was not what I expected when I received it. The fabric was of a lesser quality than expected and it was not lined. I would expect a dress of this price to be lined. Also the lenght was longer than expected and the cut of the skirt was unflattering. It created volume on the bottom half.

This dress is truly one of a kind. I received so many compliments, people just loved the color. The colors are rich and the fabric is quite durable for silk-not too delicate. You will definitely stand out. In terms of sizing, I needed a size larger because I am heavy in the bust area. The dress buckled a little in the back, but I believe this was due to my shape and the fabric. Still it was very stunning and definitely a steal price wise.

I was rather disappointed when I got the dress. I only read one review of the dress and it was very favorable (so I wonder if the person wrote that because she was being kind, since it was a gift from her sister). I thought the dress looked homemade and cheap, esp. for the price. There are side pockets and they make the dress look poofy on the hips. No woman wants that! And the fit is really cheesy looking, I think. Maybe the appearence and my first impression have to do with the condition of the dress after shipping/packing. It was extremely wrinkled and mishapened. The silk fabric has a texture to it that I didn't expect at all, and it adds to the wrinkled appearance. I'm going to have it professionally cleaned and maybe the look and fit will be better. However, right now I only wish I'd saved my money. Aside from the pretty colors, it looks nothing like the picture. If it wasn't such a hassle to return it, I'd surely send it back. The colors are pretty. That's the only positive thing I can say about this dress. It looks like a hastily handmade dress or something made by Aunt Bea on an old Singer machine. That's my opinion.

absolutely beautiful, fit perfectly. the color is a much more brilliant plum color in person. I even wore it for a plane ride and it was super comfortable. i love this dress!

I had mistakenly ordered the wrong size for this dress. Unfortunatly, I would have to reorder the correct size and return the item before my account could be credited. When i removed the dress, it looked as though someone had "stepped" on it with dirty shoes prior to shipping. I will have it dry cleaned prior to wearing as well as having alterations done. Other than the "footprints" I am satisfied with the product.

I cannot answer about comfort and true to size yet because the woman i bought this for will not get it for 2 months. However I am very experienced with buying silk items and this dress is absolutely beautiful and I have seen similar ones for twice the money. The silk itself is very fine and soft, the design and patterns are gorgeous and their are no flaws anywhere. I bought this for my fiancee and can't wait to see her in it. The color I got is raisin and it is a wonderful color. I did manage to show it to her using my webcam and she was thrilled. This dress is truly unique b/c of the high quality fabric and the lining. It is a beautiful silk dress with simple lines. It is long so wearing heels is a must. Excellent choice of dress for the sophisticate in you!

Judging from the picture I hoped this would be a silky, light dress, but the material is thick and has almost a waffle-like texture to it. The front pleats kind of create a boxy silhouette as well, which isn't very flattering. Will have to do some tailoring on this one. Still, it's a pretty good value for a dress that retails ~$400.

The dress is classic, elegant, well made and light (perfect for hot climates). It's a true plum instead of brown, as the photo portrays it. I will wear it to my daughter's wedding but it will be a nice dress to wear for any special occasion. It fits true to size.
