The Austin Reed straight skirt is a classic wardrobe must. It goes with everything and works for daytime and evening, especially the off-white which I ordered. However, the lightweight fabric may require a slip despite the lining, especially if you are dark-skinned, and the see-through will spoil the whole look. I also found it ran a size small, so order up one size. It is a nice-looking garment but like all straight or pencil skirts, expect it to wrinkle and learn to "hitch it up" a smidge at the hips when you sit to alleviate this problem. There's enough length so you can do this without turning it into a micro-mini -- nice, classy length.
