I was excited when I saw this coat online because I have a huge weakness for coats and have been meaning to expand my collection of shorter ones. On the model it looks slim, elegant, and polished, but sadly in real life, it falls a bit short of that. Firstly, the fabric is very fluffy and doesn't have that tight, clean finish that nicer wool coats have. It's almost a kind of open pile and fuzzy like fleece. While it is very soft, the plushness of the fabric cheapens the look and makes the edges thicker, so the overall effect is that the coat appears to be not as sharply tailored. Lastly, while the coat fit like a dream (I'm 5'6", 125lbs and ordered a size 2), the fabric again caused another setback in the sense that the bulky look added 15 pounds to my frame. The model is standing in 3/4 profile so she looks slim, but face-on, the coat made me look wide and heavy. I really wanted to like this coat because I love the concept of the design, but alas, this was not flattering and the material didn't feel refined or "finished" enough, so sadly, this one is going back.

Very nice jacket with cute ruffle detail. Color is true to the photo. Nice fabric; feels like a soft brushed wool.

I purchased this coat for myself and get compliments on it all the time. I can dress it up with nice clothes or wear it with jeans and it's still fabulous. Warm and functional, I like that it zips up as well. I highly recommend this coat.
