Since it goes in at the waist, it looks better than some. The pockets have no down in them, just the lining-all down is on the outside. The neck is a little uncomfortable and no drawstring on the hood. I wanted warmth more than fashion, although that would be a plus. It's okay, but didn't think it was up to Anne Klein quality. The DKNY is very bulky looking, but it may be warmer, better lining in the hood and not as bulky at the neck, better pockets for less money. Not sure whether I'll keep this one. Usually wear a medium, sometimes even a small, ordered the large for more room, but since it is somewhat fitted at the waist, a medium wouldn't do and the large is definitely not too big. Guess you have to take into consideration what is more important, styling or warmth. Think warmth wins on a long coat.

I especially like the smocked gathering on the back of this coat. It brings in the waist and gives the wearer some shape. Some of the other coats like this are shapeless and make you look like like you're wearing a sack. This one compliments your figure (as much as a coat like this can). I work in a location where it rains in the winter and gets windy. This makes using an umbrella futile. I used this coat almost daily this past winter. The hood goes beyond your face and when the coat is zipped up it stays put. The hood did not fly off and the coat protected me very well while walking from the parking lot to my work site. I highly recommend this coat.

The coat is beautiful and shapely. Looks just as pictured. Heed the advice that it runs a bit small. That was very helpful O! It fits me perfectly. Very well made. Not particularly delicate. The only problem I have had is that the front zipper is very long and is subject to the same problems any long zipper has: It catches the coat material. But the coat has not torn at all. I once got a long stretch of the fabric zipped into the zipper so completely that I couldn't get out of the coat. I got it undone and there were no frays or tears in the fabric! It is not that hard to get the hang of the zipper, but you can't do it super fast. Also, I wear this coat in Texas. It is great for getting into work and going out into the yard, but it a fashion coat. I don't think it would ward off brutal winds very well without substantial layers underneath.

This is one of my favorite purchases. We've had an extremely cold winter, and this coat has kept me so warm!

I received so many compliments on this coat. I am ALWAYS cold, but this coat really kept me warm. For a down coat, it has minimal puffiness. The cut is very flattering, not boxy at all. The size does run small. I learned that from a review I read before I ordered the coat. God bless that wonderful customer. DEFINITELY order one size larger and it will fit perfectly. I looked for a warm winter coat for about 3 seasons and am thrilled with this purchase!!!

I love this coat and it does keep you very warm, while also being stylish. However, after reading previous reviews before purchasing, I did order in one size larger, which was a mistake. But then again, they only had one size and one color left. The coat does run true to size I should have waited for a medium. But while a little big, I still love the coat. I would even think about purchasing another in the bronze size medium should it become available.

I love the coat, very warm and comfortable fitting. However, the zipper became stuck because the teeth are no longer aligned correctly and it is impossible to fix. Too bad, its a great coat otherwise.

I love the coat, it does run small so I am thankful that reviews were out that stating that, so I did go one size up and it fits perfect. My only problem with this coat is the zipper is NOT good. Many times it take 7 or 8 times before you can actually get it zipped and because it's so low, it's not good. I actually thought about returning the coat because of the hassle, it does really get under your skin, but it's been so cold in the midwest that I am sticking with it but tend to just snap it if I am in a hurry!

This is a GREAT winter coat. It's stylish and at the same time so snuggly. I live in Minnesota and it's been very chilly lately. This coat helps me get through our beautiful but at times very chilly winters with style and comfort. I took it to Jackson Hole with me last weekend and it traveled well and kept me warm when I wasn't on the slopes. For me the coat is true to size. The pockets zip which is really nice for keeping things secure. My sister has a Patagonia black down coat and it was double the price but I think this coat is more stylish. As the title says, the arms could be a touch longer.... Otherwise not much negative to report - there is a tiny bit of bearding where the filling is coming out through the seams, but this is easily dealt with and can only be seen if you get right up to the seam itself. Good quality materials and handiwork - the pockets are lovely and deep and there is an extra pocket by the zip inside for important items.For those of you who are in the UK - there was no customs charge, so I assume that overstock either took care of it, or have a UK business arm. Lovely surprise, rather than the usual mystery as to how much import tax you'll be charged...

This might not be the most superb looking coat out there, but if you need full coverage....this is perfect for you. I am 5.3" and this coat fall 4 inches above my ankle. Definitely long, but that is exactly what I was looking for. For those extremely cold days, this works very well. Ofcourse, you might need gloves, but this coat serves the purpose of keeping you warm for sure. I tried it on temperatures below -20 and it works like a charm. I am very happy with the purchase. If you look for full coverage long coats, you might not find one that looks as good as this coat. I am a size S, but I took a size M so that I could fit into it even when I am wearing a blazer/ jacket inside.This coat is one of those sure recommendation additions to you closet! Dont think about it....buy it !!And one last thing, be very careful zipping it up because the coat cloth does get in the way of the zipper when doing it in a hurry. Do it with utmost precaution while sitting in a chair/sofa! I am very happy that I got it and it is something I totally depend on those worst winter days!!

I'm always nervous buying things without seeing them in person, but I am so glad I bought this coat! I just wore it in -5F wind chill and did not even have to brace myself against the cold. Being down, the coat is super light, and it is also pretty nice looking so you don't have to sacrifice looks for warmth!

This coat was purchased for my daughter as a Christmas present. She loves it and says it is soooo warm and toasty. It is very long and keeps the cold winter winds out. The color is very pretty with a sheen to it. The hood is great and keeps you warm even without a hat under it. The sleeves have a sweater-cuff insert to keep out the cold air. This is a really nice coat and a real bargin for it's features.

I really liked the coat, but the Medium seemed a little restrictive on the top so I sent for the Large and kept the Large. I generally can wear a ten or eight in a coat, so, I cannot say it ran true to size, but it is very warm and attractive and I am very happy with the coat. I wear long skirts and had been looking for a long time for a long down coat that is warm.However, I was not happy with the return stocking fee, which was almost 15.00, I thought that was over the top being that all I did was try the coat on, put it back in its box until the Large came and sent it on back. I emailed their live chat and the person on the other end did not seem to understand my concern, so after 15 minutes I just thanked him and quit the chat.

My wife loves it. I am glad I read the reviews and found out to order one size larger, medium is normally just a little big and the large in this is perfect. The warmth is great, almost too good and she has to figure out how to work all the zippers so she doesn't roast on the subway. But the style is fantastic, and she not only likes the functionality but thinks she looks good in it! I even gots more thumbs up when she went to work the first day and two different women told her it was a beautiful coat and asked her where she got it. A great buy!

I bought the coat to keep me warm and cozy, and it truly serves the purpose! I was shocked how light it felt, and was a little concerned with that *empty* feel, plus incredibly soft fabric, but it proved to be much sturdier than I expected. It has protected me from freezing winds we experienced in New York recently, and two-way zipper is very convenient to make it less warm when needed. I can actually afford wearing a thin blouse without my arms getting frozen thanks to those knit cuffs. The hood tightens up nicely and my face feels warm inside. It has nice bronze sheen but is not ridiculously flashy, which is just what I wanted. Overall, I am happy I bought it, and look forward to oncoming winter. Oh, and it's fitted by flexible stitching, actually hugs the waist curve on the back, instead of bunching up above the belt or making that embarrassing hump :) It is dressy AND functional. Nice buy. I loved this coat - it is lightweight and very very warm - in fact, it's the warmest coat I have ever owned. It is extremely long, down to my ankles but has great zippered side vents for stride room if necessary. Comfortable getting in and out of the car - I can't figure out how the hood closes around the head so end up holding over my face with a gloved hand. I was hesitant at first about purchasing the coat because I hate zippered closings but this zipper seems to catch and unhook very easily. Very satisfied with this garment - great for a New England winter season.

I love this coat! My area was hit by the blizzard last week (Dec 09). I have lived in it since then:-). I use with only one layer underneath and it keeps me extremely warm. I like the tapper at the waist, makes it so you will not look like the Michelin man. I am a curvy size 12-14 and the large is a perfect fit.
