This outfit is so cute! My daughter is 8 and usually wears a size 8 or 10. This fit her perfect. She loves it. It is very girlie. I ordered it on a Saturday and received it the following Thursday. I plan or ordering some of the other Ann Loren outfits.

We ordered this outfit (and the matching 18" doll outfit) for my daughter's birthday trip to American girl. The fabric is lighter than I expected, which isn't a bad thing for me since we live in Texas. It is made our of a lightweight cotton legging type material. It's very cute on my daughter, who's very slim, but I think it would also fit an average size girl as well. And because it's stretchy, it's very comfortable, not restrictive at all. Fun cute outfit for a day that your daughter wants to look good but play as well.
