The most luxurious slippers are made from double faced sheepskin. Double faced means a single layer of sheepskin with the outer face being tanned hide and the inner being a thick fleece. Double faced sheepskin slippers breath well and the thick fleecy fibers on the inner part of the slipper allows air to circulate during summer so that feet do not become excessively warm. In winter the sheepskin slippers prevent heat loss and are highly prized for their effectiveness. The slippers are designed to be worn without socks in order to maximize the benefits of sheepskin. Double faced sheepskin wool does not shed, because it's attached to the skin.

Great & True to Size Worn In
I never write reviews, but after reading several before buying I felt I should. The slippers are true to fit for me. I wear 6-7 in heels and 7-7.5 in shoes with socks. I was leery of which size to get with reviews saying they run small. But only size 6 was left around my range so I chanced it. They fit snug initally but are now loose and fit perfectly. They keep your feet warm without getting too hot. I am very happy with them!

Slippers (house shoes) are wonderful,
These house shoes are well worth the money. As noted by several, there is a smell. Wear them anyway! The smell goes away in a couple of days. My shoe size is 8.5, I ordered a 9 in this shoe. Should have ordered an 8 because the house shoe does conform to your foot and do a little stretching but I don't mind the slip on my foot - I just wear socks. One thing I will note is that my feet DO NOT sweat in these shoes. Maybe because of the Sheep wool, not sure, but even on the warmer days - my feet are very comfortable. I also bought a pair for my daughter. She really didn't want them because she usually wears socks around the house and said she didn't need them. She has fallen in love with the house shoes too!!! She wears her pair all the time! I will definitely get another pair. Enjoy...

Returned slippers but very customer service.
I had to return these slippers. The sole of the slippers smelled very strongly of chemical odor. I left them outside in a screened porch for a week or so to see if the smell would dissipate. It did some, but still smelled too strong of chemicals. In the returning process I needed help and the customer service was fantastic in assisting me in the return. ( I had messed up in choosing which return label I wanted and the site would not let me 'go back' so the 'chat' customer service fixed my return problem instantly ).

i absolutely love these slippers. they are sooo warm and comfortable. i tend to have very cold feet and these do the job.

Terrible
SIZE: they suggest if yo are a half-size, to order the next up. DO NOT: I'm 8 1/2, ordered 9 and they are way too big, should have ordered 8. These slippers have the most heavy, uncomfortable soles yo can imagine. A solid car-tire block of third-world material, with no padding. So in the picture they look fine, but on your feet they are very heavy, clumsy, way overpriced, and not cozy at all.
