Great value
lizzieloo  from Salt Lake City, Utah,  Jan 15, 2008
These shoes got rave reviews from my grand daughter . She runs track in high school, so it was a perfect Christmas gift for her. I did buy them one size larger than what she normally wears and it turned out perfect.

Great price
overstockfan1  from north carolona,  Dec 30, 2007
I bought these because I was curious to see what a $250 running shoe was like. I must say having a shoe that comes with an instruction manuel was a little intimidating. I am not sure the computer chip makes any difference but the shoe is nice and the price was great. It may be psycological but I no longer have any pain in my knee. Shoe is comfortable ,but a little stiff, not too heavy. Fits true to size.

Very Disappointed
sauconylvr  from Pittsburgh, PA,  Dec 21, 2007
Thankfully the price was reduced on these shoes. If I had paid full price (I wouldn't have anyway) I would be crying right now. These are probably the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever had. I have flat feet (even with my custom orthotics they were terrible) and run about 20-25 miles per week. After the second run in these I was limping. They feel like barefeet on concrete. I thought the intelligence would make a difference but no matter how I adjust the settings it always feels the same. Hard. Since I've worn them outside I can't return them and have to buy another pair (my 3rd pair of saucony grid propel- I love them and highly recommend them..)

More of a Gimmick...
flonket  from Atlanta, GA,  Dec 13, 2007
I am a runner and purchased these in hopes that they would provide great arch support, nice cushioning, good stability, and ease for the knees -- not too much to ask in a good running shoe, especially at this price. This shoe would get a lone, single star if I had paid the MSRP. Considering Overstock sells this for just under $100, I gave the shoe a little more slack. However, I did return the shoes for several reasons: (1) The arch support feels decent but the shoe is wider than normal which is not very suitable for a runner. (2) The shoe is, at the very least, a half size larger than normal. I believe it was a full size too large. I typically wear an 8.5 running shoe and probably needed a 7.5 in this shoe. (3) The tongue on the shoe is entirely too large. If you wear ankle socks to run, the tongue on this shoe will rub your foreleg to pieces. The rise on the tongue is too tall which makes it rather annoying to those of us who run in low socks. It may seem to be a petty complaint, but for a shoe at this price, this issue is worth mentioning. (4) The adjustable cushioning (i.e., what makes this shoe "intelligent"), is pretty much a gimmick. I do not notice any difference when adjusting the cushioning of this shoe. Overall, this shoe might be a decent fit for someone looking for good arch support but I would advise you buy in a smaller size (and maybe width, as well). For someone looking for a good running shoe, I would argue this shoe is purely a gimmick:. The adjustable cushioning is worthless; The fit is less-than-desireable; and the super-sized tongue is nothing but annoying. For the purpose for which I purchased these shoes, I was very disappointed. I would have been much more disappointed had I paid the suggested retail price.

Built for Running
peapaud  from Castro Valley, CA,  Dec 11, 2007
This shoe is not for walking so much as the mechanism is designed for running and will deactivate upon walking or after ten mins. I am not a runner, and perhaps there are better running shoes, but chose to purchase this shoe for the cushioning effect. My review, therefore, is based on walking and not for it's intended purpose.

Inteligent Shoe
love56  from Douglasville,Ga,  Nov 14, 2007
In 2005 I paid $250. for the same shoe. This shoe is a excellent vaule at overstock.com. I have purchased this shoe on three different ocassions. Your price was the best. It is worth $250. and it was a strand on my budget. I work in the medical field doing 12 hour shifts. It was the best gift I could have given my knees and feet. I am 57 years young and they have made me feel even youger. I get the same level of comfort from all three pairs, and I just can't believe my first pair will be two years old next month. I have taken care of them and they have taken care of me. Thank you overstock.com for your price. Thank you adidas for making the shoe.
