\Celebrity fitness trainer Alberto "Beto" Perez is orginally from Cali, Colombia. Before creating and launching Zumba in the U.S. in the late '90s, Perez attended the Maria Sanford Brazilian Dance Academy, became an instructor and choreographed dance routines for high profile performers, including platinum album selling artist Shakira. This is not a package. It comes with a demo DVD only which shows the steps only, no work out or routines. The book seems comprehensive, but in my opinion is useless without the workout routines. I'm returning it.

Maybe it was me, or I was just excited to see Zumba at this price. When I finally received your package and when I opened it was surprised to see a book! When I see PACKAGE, I thought it was the dvd package and ready to exercise. Very disappointed, in fact have only tried the the DVD a couple of times, which gave me an opening to exercise.

not really a workout
OK so maybe I missed the BOOK. I saw workout and DVD. When it came in the mail I was surprised it was a book with a demo DVD. Not a real workout DVD. I knew it was too good to be true!

Zumba
I enjoyed learning the history of the creative director of this wonderful workout. I had been invited to attend a lesson by a friend and was immediately hooked. I now go three times a week. The music, the dances and the camaraderie of the other people in class is exhilarating. It is the most fun I ever had while exercising. And the bonus from this wonderful workout is that it charges up your metabolism and the pounds drop off. The only problem is with the DVD. It has only a few basic dance steps. I want more, more and more. Beto Perez is the man to thank for writing this great book and giving us an insight into his interesting life story.

Dvd did not work. message said bad disk.
Very disappointed. I threw my bag away that the book came in. Dvd was sealed . I will not buy another one.

I was a little disappointed. I thought the DVD would have been better - more practice, music, etc. The book is what it is supposed to be.

Be More Specific
I purchased this item based solely on the description of a hardback book and an accompanying Compact Disc that presumably provided visual ZUMBA exercises. What I received was an excellent book and a Zumba Demo CD that provided hardly anything. However, the hardcover book was a wonderful introduction into Zumba without the visual exercises provided on separate compact discs. Additionally, the sale price from Overstock.com is nothing to sneeze at.
