While not a children`s album per se, Ziggy Marley`s third album FAMILY TIME takes child rearing, family togetherness, and the experiences of childhood as its main themes. Instrumentally it more or less reprises the gentle, impeccably-played roots reggae of Ziggy`s first two full-lengths, while an impressive roster of illustrious guests share vocal duties. Unsurprisingly, given the album`s subject matter, the extended Marley family makes a strong showing. Ziggy`s mother Rita, his sister Cedella, and his daughter Judah share vocal duties with some more unexpected guests including Willie Nelson and Paul Simon.
