Xbox 360 Platinum (with Hardrive)

I bought my XBOX 360 and used it for four months before I bought a single game on a disc. My wife enjoys playing music and looking a photos on it via any of our home computers. in fact, its more of an mp3 player and phot viewer than anything for us. when my niece and nephew came over to spend the night, I downloaded a few "little kid friendly" games (e.g. marble madness) that would keep them entertained. They were free and halfway entertaining, really. then I bought four actual XBOX 360 games and I was blown away. fast loading times, execllent in-game options to find friends, play your own music, etc. the system works well, runs cool, and it reasonable quiet. also it looks great on my 52" plasma TV. just stunning. its a great product that does what it promises.

When the XBOX 360 first came out, I was a little skepitcal about it. Now, after it has been out for a little over a year, I can see that it is truly is an awesome system. There are great games that have been coming out for it in the past couple of months, and there will be more great games in the coming months. My order with Overstock was very simple, and now I can say that I am enjoying an awesome next gen gaming console.

Ordered on a Thursday afternoon received Monday morning. Box and contents were in excellent condition despite the lack of any real packaging material. Xbox 360 has exceeded my expectations for console video gaming. I have been playing Gears of War and I'm blown away by the graphics and sound of this system. On a price/games/graphics/sound comparison to other next-gen consoles the Xbox 360 can't be beat.

Alright, I understand that overstock.com is a clearance site. But I would have gladly paid an extra $5.00 shipping to pack something as delicate as a 360 with decent packing materials instead of pieces of paper. I received my console very quickly, and the price was competetive and all that, but none of that really matters since the disk drive was damaged and I now have to return it. Bottom line, I never would've purchased it from Overstock if I wasn't given a gift certificate for 2/5 of the price of the thing in the first place. Pay attention to the other reviewers though, they're not kidding...it comes packed by 4 pieces of butcher paper on the TOP of the box where it's LEAST likely to be dropped in the first place. I hope they're spending more money than they make on returns and replacements. Good luck.

I ordered the premium system for a great price on Overstock.com, and received it within a few days. No box damage like previous reviewers reported. It was in excellent shelf-condition. I've been a big Playstation fan for years, but since Sony screwed up big-time on the PS3 price and distribution, I decided to give the 360 a shot. I'm so glad I did! This system is everything I hoped for and more. Great titles, excellent graphics and a good price. Until Sony gets its act together (significant price drop and better games), I'll remain in the 360 camp.
