Not a good idea...

I was weary to buy something (especially a video game system) that is used, but the reviews in Overstock.com were pretty good. Overstock.com also had an entire section dedicated to refurbished products where they rave about how good the "refurbished" products are and that they are checked TWICE to make sure they work.After waiting a week (normal delivery time) for the XBox 360 to arrive I received it and felt like a kid at Christmas. I opened it up and plugged everything in. The Xbox turned on and everything seemed just fine. I was about to start setting up my online profile when BAM! The system shuts down and there are three flashing lights around the power button. This is known as the "red ring of death" and if you look that up online you will find that there's nothing you can do about it. This basically means that your XBox stopped working completely. So, I'm very irritated. I'm about to box everything up and send it back to overstock and hopefully I can get a full refund.Looking back now, the price is not worth the risk. Spend the extra money and buy it brand new.

WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR PURCHASE. WAS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR OUR SON AND HE HAS BEEN ON IT NON STOP SINCE HE GOT IT. RECEIVED IT WHEN WE WERE TOLD AND EASY TO HOOK UP. BEATS HAVING TO WAIT IN LINES AT THE STORES!!!
