Each virtual aircraft comes with fully functional instrument panels and custom gauges that allow the desktop pilot not only to fly the airplane, but also to recreate and simulate nearly every step and procedure required in a typical X-15 mission.

Can be launched either from a high altitude like the real X-15 or take off from an airport runway like other Flight Simulator aircraft.
Spectacular visual effects including rocket engine flames, APU exhaust and propellant jettison effects. Uses a custom fuel management system with three different types of propellants like in the real-world X-15 rocket plane. Includes a comprehensive 100-page user manual inspired from the original X-15 utility flight manuals, in a printable PDF format
X-15-1 contains two versions of the X-15-1 aircraft.

X-15 expansion series exceeded my X-speculations
This is a great expansion pack for FSX very authentic and realistic and fun. What I personally found that makes this great it¿s the first airplane into space and X-15 expansion series exceeded my X-speculations, I also liked the many models you get to try out it also has fully functional instrument panels and the old gauges. Plus the systems simulate just about every step and procedure required in a typical X-15 mission. In my opinion it¿s a thumbs up. I recommend this to anyone who likes the idea of flying the early prototypes of the X models
