This book is helpful to authors looking for a publisher. It includes a company for almost anything you want published. Besides the normal basic information (name, address, phone number, website) most company listings include such helpful information as what types of material the company is looking for, how long it takes to hear back from them on a manuscript you submit, and whether they accept manuscripts from first-time authors and unagented authors. There are also sections on literary agents, different types of writings, magazines and trade journals, contests and awards, etc. It was very helpful to me.

People have been telling me for years that I could get paid for what I write. I don¿t have enough material or confidence to approach an agent. This book will allow me to submit on my own and see if all those encouraging people actually know good writing or just love me.
