I've read a few of Kristin Hannah's recent books and have really enjoyed them. This one is centered on a kind of silly premise, a family sharing a long told family "fairy tale." At the beginning this seems like a silly idea to build a book around, but I really got sucked into the storyline. A very unique story. The ending was a lil unsatisfying for me, I'm not sure why she chose to end it the way she did. But overall a really interesting story.
I enjoyed this book. The mix of Russian history and modern family relationships made for a very pleasant read.
Doesn't compare to her other great books! This one is boring and the story line is too drawn out! A real disappointment!
