I have never taken an actual zumba class. I do know how to do Latin dances, and knew how before getting this. It is basically just doing actual Latin dances as exercise - a really genius idea. It incorporates high intensity interval training to burn calories and is very cardio intense. This has kicked my butt! But, I am a wimp who doesn't really exercise. My 9 year old daughter can do all of the stuff for hours on end. I can't make it through a 20 min beginner thing. The graphics are not so easy to follow - it is hard to see what the person is doing exactly with their body. Even following as best you can is fun and an incredible workout.
