Wii - Go Vacation - By Namco

I am not much of a video game enthusiast as I enjoy being outdoors rather than sitting inside playing some game. There are, however, a few exceptions and this game is one of them. It is a fun game that I can play standing up and I get a bit of a workout on some of the activities within the game. Go Vacation is very enjoyable and my entire family loves playing. It's a great game for parents and their children to play together. At the moment, where an actual vacation is out of the question, I love that this game makes me feel like I am actually on vacation. Works for now!!! Game play is straightforward and easy enough although I find myself getting frustrated on some of the mini games. It's so easy to blame the controls or controllers but, as I already mentioned, I am not much of a video game enthusiast so I am a bit clumsy at times while trying to figure it all out. For example, "Water Gun Battle" is not one of my favorites because I just never win...too hard for me. However, my 15 year old brother seems to get a perfect score every time. I do love tennis, volleyball and the easier stages of the racing games as well as countless other games. There are about 50 games with multiple levels (more than 100 levels) and the opportunity to earn and unlock extras. You can take pictures at designated spots and save them to a photo album (Love this feature), find very well hidden treasure chests or just explore the island using different modes of transportation such as horseback, train ATV or boat...just to name a few. With so many activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy. I highly recommend this game for families, as a break from more intense games, and for a light workout. It is worth checking out.
