It works quite well - the turbo button switches, one for each button, provide 20 turbo shots per second for the fastest action games. The push buttons are programmable and can be reassigned in Virtual Console gaming or regular gaming, and can be used for any function. This joystick is huge and weighs quite a bit, you will easily be able to use it just sitting in your lap. I saw no measurements listed online but it is about one foot wide, weighs several pounds (due to the solid metal plate on the bottom) and is very stable.
Got this product when I purchased the Wii a few years ago. I still like to play games like Pac Man and Galaga and this accessory works better for me.
What is there to say about it really..I bought it for Tatsunoko VS. Capcom which pretty much demands an arcade style stick and it works fantastic with it. It doesn't use actual sanwa arcade parts or anything but the parts and the base it uses are pretty solid. It's likely the best stick you can get for the Wii without having someone custom build you one or modding one yourself. The price isn't bad at all either. Overall if you have any games on the Wii...whether they be retail or on the virtual console...that are arcade style in general I would definitely recommend this stick to anyone.
This is a great stick to mod with Sanwa parts. I used a JLF stick with octagonal gate and Sanwa buttons. After modding a Playstation circuit board into it, this performed perfectly on Playstation 2 for Street Fighter and KoF. The stick by itself is fairly decent with the stock parts, but swapping them out with Sanwa parts makes it arcade perfect. For Wii, there are much fewer games that take advantage of an arcade stick except Neo Geo games and Street Fighter II, Turbo, and SUPER so minus one star for that. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
