Wicked, the Grimmerie by David Cote (Hardcover)

This book is amazing and fun. If you are a fan of the musical "Wicked" you will be enthralled at the inner workings of what it took to bring the original text to the stage. If you are new to the musical, you will be able to follow the birth of a musical, from the beginning writings of the fictional book, all the way to its triumphs at Broadway's award show. It is a comprehensive book that will satisfy a Wicked-o-phile's craving for detail (except it should have included the entire book of the musical and not just a condensed version--shame on you). You will pour over its many pages and learn more with each reading, just as Elphaba did when she read the original Grimmerie. Worth every penny.

The book arrived quickly. It was a nice hardcover book and was a gift to a family member. The family member who collects Wicked paraphernalia enjoyed the book alot and felt it was very entertaining. For me the value was great!

We say "Wicked" and then of course we were obsessed. We had to find everything Wicked. A friend told me about the Grimmerie, it has all the behind the scenes, a lot of pictures and part of the libretto (music and spoken word). It has been fun, my oldest son who is 9 didn't go with us but after listening to the soundtrack and going through the Grimmerie he wants to go when it returns to SLC in 2012!!! I also ordered 2 additional books for my family that went with us. The price here was better than anywhere else on the web!!
