This full color picture book is about a little girl grieving the death of her beloved grandfather. Written in poetic musing, it is an uplifting story on a subject that adults find difficult to talk about with a child. The message in the book is "even though the person is gone the memories will keep them alive in our hearts" Timeless and comforting it is a book you pull out time and time again. It is endorsed by award winning and best selling author: Gerta Weissman Klein.

Judy Egett Laufer is an “All-American” mom, educator and author, who immigrated to North America from Hungary as a very young child. Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in child development and a teaching certificate from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, Judy has spent more than 25 years in the field of early childhood education. Whether she's working in the classroom, with program administration or on curriculum development, Judy has always approached life with a positive attitude and a winning smile. This optimistic mindset has inspired Judy both as an educator and as an author. In 1991, while mourning the loss of her beloved father, Judy turned her sorrow into this award-winning picture book to comfort grieving children, Where Did Papa Go? Similarly, in her 2nd book she has transformed a common childhood fear—having nightmares—into a “LaughMare,” a fun-loving adventure in the magical land of Gigglyville that will send sleepyheads of all ages to bed laughing. Judy speaks English, Hungarian and French and has served in both private and public school settings. She has also worked as an educational consultant for a major textbook publisher and has conducted workshops for teachers in reading, math, science and second language learning throughout the US and Canada. A longtime resident of Phoenix, Judy actively participates in her community and has been involved in numerous civic projects. She and her husband, Dr. Nathan Laufer, are the proud parents of one son, Andrew.
