Judy Egett Laufer is an “All-American” mom, educator and author, who immigrated to North America from Hungary as a very young child. Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in child development and a teaching certificate from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, Judy has spent more than 25 years in the field of early childhood education. Whether she's working in the classroom, with program administration or on curriculum development, Judy has always approached life with a positive attitude and a winning smile.This optimistic mindset has inspired Judy both as an educator and as an author. In 1991, while mourning the loss of her beloved father, Judy turned her sorrow into this award-winning picture book to comfort grieving children, Where Did Papa Go? Similarly, in her 2nd book she has transformed a common childhood fear—having nightmares—into a “LaughMare,” a fun-loving adventure in the magical land of Gigglyville that will send sleepyheads of all ages to bed laughing. Judy speaks English, Hungarian and French and has served in both private and public school settings. A longtime resident of Phoenix, Judy actively participates in her community and has been involved in numerous civic projects.
