I remember seeing this movie when I was a kid (a long time ago). I must admit, it worried my child mind that if the world might be destroyed I might not be chosen for the rocketship ride to that new planet! Anyway seeing it again was a trip down memory lane. Only one difference - this time I didn't care about being on that rocketship!
super good enterment. as orderd and remberd . any one who likes sifi should have it on the shelf.
This is a very intertaining movie. It is an extremely realistic portrayal and techinically correct to the extent of the technical knowledge of the late forties early fifties. So if you want to see how the people of 1950 or so would deal with the end of the World, now is your chance. Even the special effects stand up well.
An interesting aspect of human nature is brought about by the increasing threat of a hurling "planet" that has given the earth and its natives their extinction card. However, hope is rekindled in the form of making a "Noah's Neo-arc", if you will, to save a few select people. I found the plot to be well done and configured, but the FXs are very weak, to today¿s standards. Hopefully, someone will remake this feature with today¿s technology. In effect, it is very descriptive and entertaining in its present state, well worth watching.
