This book is very informative and covers all types of beverages and foods. I bought one for myself and then later decided to buy it as a gift for a friend's wedding and as a Christmas present for my aunt. The book is a great gift for a foodie or a wine buff.
This book tells all you would ever need to know to pair food with drink and drink with food. The day I received this book I was making a stupendous meatloaf. Not very "gourmet" but fabulous dish for a birthday dinner for people who go crazy over trhis meatloaf. Made with sauasge and tons of yummy ingredients. We looked up meat loaf, laughing and there was an entire list of wines to serve with it. I just went to a very high end champagne tasting and I looked up what to make to serve with the champagne and there was a list that was unbelievable. No matter what you are eating or drinking there is an endless amount of information. Do not know how I ever lived without this book. A perfect gift f or the cook who likes to entertain or just enjoy food and wine and beer plus water.
This book is packed with tons of useful information. Good price. Very good reference book. I just love it-- very helpful in finding the right kind of wine with the appropriate food or vice versa. I will recommend it to all my friends. Everyone needs a book like this!!!!!
