The only thing I was disappointed in was the length of time it took to receive the book. I ordered it on Dec. 11 to give to my dad on Christmas thinking it would be plenty of time. However, I did not receive it until after the New Year.
This is a terrific read under the catagory "what if." Almost reads like a actual historical account of one woman's journey as a bride to Indians to improve the relationship between whites and indians. This book arrived promptly and in wonderful condition.
This book is one of my favorites. Highly recommend.
I purchased this as a Father's Day gift for my father who is an avid Louis L'Amour reader. He has every single book available, and I thought this would be a great addition for his collection. He LOVED it! He sat and listened to all 4 books in one shot! This collection comes in a wooden box, giving it a "country" feel. The only thing bad that I have to say about this purchase is that the "collection" was of only 4 books. I somehow had the impression that it was going to be more. Other than that, this was the best Father's Day gift that I have ever purchased for my dad!
The books were great, but they took forever to get here like 3 weeks. My last order was very quick within a few days. i was sending these as a father's day present to my hubby in Afghanistan, but they did not get here on time despite my order weeks prior.
