I was more than pleased with this book! It walked you through everything you need to know about making a decorative cake, wheather for a wedding or not. This book is exceptional for every skill level, but probably most beneficial for "rookies" to cake baking and decorating. You learn everything from the purpose of ingredients and basic skills to decorating and transporting your creation. The book also includes great key point boxes that gives you an easy way to refresh on the information.
The cakes given are all decorated with buttercream and remain feasible for the "Rookies" out there, but most importantly it gives you ideas and encouragement to mix-and-match and be creative to make your own cake. I was not blown away by all of the cakes but it definitely gave me something to build off of. This is an all-in-one book for any cake fanatic! Its a building block not just for weddings, it for any decorative cake you can dream up!

I Love this book!! I have ordered other wedding cake books and have been very disappointed but not with this one. Not only is it informative, Ms Wilson even gives you a time line for each cake. Perfect for any bride-to-be or anyone wanting to bake a wedding cake.
