In its 14th year, the Warped Tour showed no sign of slowing down. Originally conceived as an extreme sports and punk rock show, the event eventually came to encompasses many types of alternative music. The 2009 edition of the Warped Tour compilation CD showcased a thriving scene where legendary West Coast old schoolers like NOFX and Bad Religion raged right alongside young turks such as poppy reality-show-twins-led Madina Lake and helium-voiced emo kids A Skylit Drive.
