Louisiana native Lil Boosie has been on the Dirty South scene since the early 2000s, and like many of his Southern contemporaries has a sound founded on hard-hitting beats and tales of street life. A member of Pimp C`s Trill Entertainment family, Lil Boosie has been involved with numerous collaborations, and 2007`s SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST is one of his most ambitious. The album gives equal billing to Trill artists Webbie, Foxx, and the Trill Fam, while offering up a satisfying array of heavy street tracks and hardcore raps. Fans of Dirty South rap, and the New Orleans style in particular, should check this out.
