A classically tinged tribute to Morrissey isn`t such an imaginative leap--the Manchester miserabilist`s first solo album contained a beautiful pseudo-classical track in "Angel, Angel, Down We Go Together"--and this compilation of string quartet arrangements of songs from the singer`s solo albums enshrines the originals in a unique, baroque setting. The recreations of Smiths` material, like "This Charming Man" and "William It Was Really Nothing," are especially memorable, the latter track recalling similar 1960s classical experiments with the Beatles` songs.
