It was with great trepidation that I purchased this disc based on being familiar with the works of only one of the groups featured. But seeing the titles of the songs and then hearing the covers of legendary hits and original material that was crafted with obvious love of Dick Dale, The Ventures and other Surf greats, I was more than pleasantly surprised. A word of warning however. After you listen to this disc, you will crave more. And there lies the problem. All of these groups are on obscure, independent labels that your are just not going to find in your major retail outlets. If you love this music, you are going to have to work to find it . Also be aware that this disc is now over 10 years old. Luckily, the genre is timeless making it all but impossible to tell the difference between a 4 year old recording and one made 44 years ago.
