This collection was nominated for a Grammy as Best Historical Recording in 2007. For a history of recorded poetry, as well as a history of recording in general, this is a superb collection. Every era from Edison to digital recording is represented, as is all the poetry "movements" since Tennyson and Whitman. A wonderful, fun primer for those interested in learning about poetry and a delight for those who want to hear the voices of their favorite poets.
