Once again, in keeping with its companion volumes Del-Fi Beach Party and Del-Fi Jungle Jive, the company`s vaults get raided once again for a 15-track slugfest of surf, instrumental and dance-oriented novelties and rarities. The emphasis is on the wacky and the way-out, so it`s no surprise that the set kicks off with Preston Epps` "Watusi Bongos" and heads straight off into weirdsville from there. Highlights include Bruce Johnston`s "Soupy Shuffle Stomp," Bill Lewis` "High Dive" and "Swim Beat," the Rollercoasters` "Wild Twist," the Bob Keene Orchestra`s version of "La Bamba," the Tributes` silly "Here Comes Ringo" and Don Markham and the Marksmen`s "The Goose, Part 1." No hits, major or minor, on board here, but a truckload of great fun and sometimes very warped little pieces of rock & roll. ~ Cub Koda
