Paying homage to James Brown on the one-year anniversary of the legendary soul singer`s death, Public Enemy frontman Chuck D has recruited a crew of seriously skilled soul-funk players from his Slamjamz label to put together TRIBB TO JB. Featuring vocals by Kyle Jason, rhymes by Chuck D, and contributions from the Impossebulls, Heet Mob, Crew Grrl Order, and the Scallions, among others, TRIBB TO JB is a collection of new interpretations of James Brown favorites--records that inspired a generation of hip-hop producers and MCs, and laid the foundation for a new genre of black music.
