Bryan Peterson is a great writer with many years of experience shooting. I very much enjoy his writing style and found much information useful in this book. He covers all levels of photographers, and his explanations are very clear while his personal stories and experiences are written with a touch of humor . This book is awesome!!!I am a beginning photographer my camera is a Canon Rebel xsi, and I was really confused about depth of field, exposure, shutter speed, apature etc. It can be a bit confusing. This book breaks it down, and even give you exercises to do, photos explaining what is happening. It is definately a big help. I'm beginning to understand what these things mean. Now I know what the difference between an f/4 and f/22 is. I'm even beginning to understand how to shoot in manual mode. If I want to freeze a motion, or make it look as if the subject is going at warp speed, I can do this now too. Any book by Bryan Peterson I will purchase. I now have 2 It was a great price, and arrived quickly.I definately recommend this from beginner to pro. Thanks Overstock!

This book took the mystery out of exposure for me. I am no longer afraid of my manual settings! This is probably the single most valuable book I own!
