I realize that there arn't many people who haven't yet read these books, but just in case... I am long past (all right, I'm a grandmother) the age these books were written for and I fought it for quite some time. Finally my daughter let me borrow her copy of the first book and I was hooked. (By the way, this is the same senario that brought me to read all the Harry Potter books. You would think I'd learn.) I think I enjoyed these books because our spirits are NOT the same age as our physical age. Therefore, we can be stirred by good writing, good romance and good fun. Stephenie Meyer was inspired to write these stories and her warmth and good humor (think Jacob and inprinting in Breaking Dawn) shine through each story and side story. Don't let the fact that it's about werewolves and vampires get it your way of great entertainment. I'm so glad I didn't go with my first thoughts about the characters.

I can't remember the last time reading a book was so enjoyable. This series was gripping, an easy read and Stephenie Meyer's style was engaging and descriptive. I found the human characters relatable and interesting and the not-so-human characters intriguing. I mean, this is probably not Pulitzer material on its face, but should win a prize for popularity with readers. EVERYONE female in my office is reading or has read the series and/or watched the movie. Can't remember the last time that happened! The stories flowed well and although Twilight hooked me, I enjoyed New Moon the best. The third book in the series, Eclipse, was probably the slowest read, as it went deeper into character development. I was sad to finish the series with book four, Breaking Dawn, but enjoyed the ending. I enjoyed the series so much that I also read the draft of Midnight Sun located on Meyer's website, which tracks Twilight from Edward Cullen's perspective - that was a nice surprise and I hope she will reconsider and actually publish Midnight Sun. I recommend this as fun, light, campy and entertaining reading for most ages (I'm 49!). Enjoy!

My daughter has read this book, my granddaughter has read this book, I've read this book and now my neighbor (Who is nearly old enough to be my mother) is reading this book. what a great read! I couldn't put it down. I look forward to more writings from this author.

I like to read but haven't for a long time. A friend introduced me to this series...and I'm hooked. I had the book finished within 2 days! I already ordered the next two books with plans to acquire the 4th book and I'm already recommending that my friends read these books.

Great read - not just for teenager girls, but women of all ages. Romantic, funny, and the vampire "scary" factor is very low. (The other Twilight saga books are wonderful, too!)

my daughter and neice are hooked on the twilight series and requested a hardback copy for christmas, the mall bookstore had paperback only a friend recomended overstock.com, and sure enough not only did they have what i needed it was at a lower retail price and shipping was extremely fast, two girls will be happy on christmas and a dad and uncle is a hero, thanks

The book twilight is an excellent book. If you have thought the book was boring after seeing the promotional movie than wrong. The book is more detail and has more major sceens than the movie. Movies are no more than 2 hours so do not base wat you saw on the book. Edward and Bella share a special bond that real life couples don't seem to have. Once you open up the book it is hard to put down. I keeps your attention but yet it is childrens book. The average children book tends to be very boring, this book is part or a serious. Bella is a clumsy girl who moves to Forks where she expect it to be boring and fillled with sorrow. Edward Cullen and his family are just tring to blend in with out disturbing the peace. wHEN the two meet is a strange amout of chemistry. Bella nor Edward expect to fall in love in Forks. Edward wants to avoid Bella because he has a big SECRET that he is or doesn't want to share with any human. Edward family except Rosalie likes Bella. You have to read the rest to see what their love turns into........................................................................

This book had to be the best I have ever read. I fell in love with it and have swiftly continued to poor over it after I had finished. This book gave me chills (in a good way). I absolutley LOVE TWILIGHT. Tell all your friends to pick it up as quick as possible and get reading. By far the most well written novel that I have read in a long time. Way to be Stephanie Myer, Way to be. When you finish this book be sure to move on to the rest in the Twilight series.They are just as good as the first.

Had a lot of fun with this new spin on vampires interacting with every day people. I've read a lot of vampire books and this book opened my mind to all the possiblieties that could exsist in this big wonderful world.

Stephenie Meyer brings a refreshing style of writing to her "Twilight" saga books. Her development of her characters, their first and incredible deep love, and the complexity of relationships is both heart warming and insightful to human emotions and behavior. It is in the "Young Adult" genre, but might not be appropriate for many 14 and under by the 3rd book ("Eclipse"). I would have loved to have seen it expanded and appropriate for the "Adult Fiction" genre. Looking forward to the release of the 4th book, "Breaking Dawn".

I can definitely tell why Twilight was on the Bestsellers list. I absolutely loved it. I was hooked the moment I started reading Stephenie Meyer has a true gift for writing. The two books that follow, New Moon and Eclipse, where just as good and I've already reserved the fourth book for when it comes out. My friends were really surprised to hear that I got all three books from overstock.com for under $40 including the shipping. AND the books were all hardback. And I have some friends who are borrowing the book right now and can't put it down. Definitely going to my collection.
