I had the Turtle Beach x3 headset and then upgraded to the x4's. The difference is night and day, not only are the x4's 5.1 surround sound but the transmitter seems to be of better quality. I can go anywhere in my house and use them even though they are supposed to only function in the line of sight of the transmitter. I also didn't experience any of the static/noise in the menus of games as I did with the x3's. Being 5.1 the sounds are more precise and it really makes a difference, and being able to connect it to the 360 with Digital Optical Cable is a real nice feature... The price is the only con, but if you are really into gaming then this is a great investment and will immerse you deeper into the game.., this is quality stuff and it can also be used with other devices. I couldn't be happier...
