  • Tug of War - Classical vs. Modern Dressage

    This is a very good book if you are concerned about the 'proper' or best way to train a horse for the horse. It has excellent pictures depicting the difference in movements based on "artificially induced" or "modern" training methods and the classical, European methods where the horse performs naturally and without tension. Does not go into as much detail as I would like as far as "HOW TO" but does a good job of explaining anatomical effect and visually depicting the difference between the right and wrong RESULTS. Need to combine this book with a good classical dressage instructor and it will become much more meaningful.
