This is a two CD set of a live performance. It's incredibly powerful and masterful. Scofield, De Johnette and Goldings are first rate masters on their instruments and they push and inspire each other at every turn so we get to hear the best of them. That's probably why they call the trio "beyond." It's apparent that they love playing with each other. It's really inspiring to hear this music that pays homage to the great Tony Williams. Highly recommended.
