This cd is Toby Keith's best by far. Toby Keith, Scotty Emerick and Dean Dillion have team up to and wrote some great songs. Everyone can relate to them and enjoy them. "Get Drunk and Be Somebody", is a rowdy bar song. Just makes you want to sing along. "Gain of Salt", is also a bar song, but it is a little different. It has a fun side to it. The guy in the song is letting his girlfriend know he is over her. Before she was gone. "It's A Little To Late", is a love song. This is my favorite song. The music is different in this song. The strings are great. "Crash Here Tonight", is also a love song. Very slow moving song. Makes you want to dance with someone you love. This cd is a great group of songs. The three bus songs at the end are just to funny. This is a must have cd.
both where great!!!!! I will tell everyone I know about them.Great buy!!!
As always Toby gives a fantastic array of songs. I am a diehard Toby Keith fan and look forward to each of his new releases. Every one of his songs has some titles or content that you can relate to. All in all this is a great album. Sutible for ages over 18. Favorite song is A Little Too Late, of which I can strongly relate to. Looking forward to his next release.
Toby Keith is always great! Weel worth the price anytime.
The Big Dawg has a good mix of tracks on this CD. "Get Drunk and Be Somebody" is one of my favorites with its catchy tune. For those who don't drink or don't want to sing about getting drunk, you can simply change the words to "just get a life and be somebody." It's a song that makes you feel better because the message is a good one...rather than let people get you down to where you're feeling like a nobody, get motivated and do something to make you feel good about yourself! Singing along with this tune will make you feel better, especially since we all look forward to the weekends! Another great song here is "Note To Self" which should be the national anthem for all the guys who forget that special loved one's birthday, anniversary or special day....look out or you may get home to find she's gone. Hey guys, "Don't forget the roses," or you'll be "skatin' on thin ice!" There's a neat thing going on here with the melody...I love it! I love the melody and play on words in "A Little Too Late." I'm sure we have all used the phrase "water under the bridge." "Too Far This Time" is another great tune! Maybe if the guy had written a note to himself to help him remember those special days or shown his woman he loved her, he could have saved her from going a little too far over the line. I also love "Crash Here Tonight," which makes me close my eyes and hum along. Toby's vocals shine on this pretty ballad. The same goes for "Grain of Salt." "Brand New Bow" is a pretty cool tune with a great mix of instruments. The guy is wanting to do it up right this time, by not forgetting his girl's birthday. Kudos! And, in "Hell No" the guy is in trouble again because he's forgotten the anniversary two years in a row. His wife just blew his dreams of an enchanted evening after it slipped his mind again and she rebuffed his attempts to make it right with a dozen roses. Another lesson learned guys...write that note to self and start paying more attention to that woman who you think is yours or you just may look up one day and find it's too late. I love the lyrics on "Ain't No Right Way." No matter who you are you can do the wrong thing without even knowing. "Runnin' Block" has been causing a little controversy, but it's funny and should not be taken too seriously. The thing that came to mind when I first heard this song was the video "As Good As I Once Was" featuring the twin sister with the missing teeth. Overall, this is a must have CD for all you country music fans. It stacks up with The Big Dawg's other recordings and I give it ten plus stars out of ten!!!! Let's "rope that cowboy" and keep him in the country, where we love to hear him sing those pretty ballads. "TKIFC" RMHAND
This is a fantastic CD. It covers the rowdy to the romantic to the hilarious. It is a showcase for his versatility as an artist. It is one of his best CD's yet. White Trash With Money displays Toby Keith's talents as a song writer, a singer, and as an entertainer.
Toby outdid himself. This is Toby's first CD on Showdog Nashville, and he truly hit this one out of the park. Toby has never been a crossover artist and that's how I like it. He writes all his own songs and many with Scotty Emerick. I love the pure country sound, the strings and horns, the wonderful quality of Toby's voice, and each song is solidly written. Lari White's production is supurb. From the rowdy Get Drunk and Be Somebody to the tender Crash Here Tonight, the listener is captivated. Note to Self, Grain of Salt, A Little Too Late, Can't Buy You Money are all worthy to be released as singles. Ain't No Right Way is an honest look at society's ills as told by the father of three. I honestly didn't think Toby could surpass Honky Tonk University, but I should know by now that Toby just gets better and better.
