- Description:
- A sequel to They Might Be Giants` well-received HERE COME THE A,B,C`S, 2008`s HERE COME THE 1,2,3`S find the alt-pop duo of John Flansburgh and John Linnell offering up another whimsical-yet-informative set of kid-oriented tunes. As the title implies, the album is numerically minded, from the breezy "Zeroes" to the jaunty "Nine Bowls of Soup" to the raucous "Eight Hundred and Thirteen Mile Car Trip."
As always, TMBG juggles musical genres as it presents its silly ditties, with styles ranging from bossa nova to electronica to rock. Not content to stick solely to numbers, however, Flansburgh and Linnell throw in a few stray non-counting songs, most notably their "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Theme," a chipper, horn-laden track that illustrates just how far the band has come from being 1980s college-rock misfits.

Customer Reviews
This is a great CD you can enjoy listening to with the kids. The songs are really clever.

My 3 and 5 year old love this CD. I have the version that includes a DVD with animated music videos. I wish Overstock carried that version because I would like to purchase it for a friend. If you can find that version I would recommend it. It brings the songs to life and it is very funny. We liked the CD when we listened to it in the car but after seeing the DVD too my kids liked the songs even better.

They Might Be Giant's "Here Come the 123's" and "Here Come the ABC's" are instant classics in my book. I admit I loved They Might Be Giants since I was 9 years old but my daughter and nieces go crazy when its on. Music that will get stuck in YOUR head, not just your kid's. I would put this in any kit or shower gift for parents or even a birthday present to kids. The DVD is well-loved and the CD works for those times in the car. Their kids CD "NO!" is fun, but comes up short when compared to the Here Come the ABC's/123's. Some of the best tracks off ABC are 'E Eats Everything' and 'The Alphabet of Nations' and some of the best off 123's are 'The Number Two' , 'Triops Has Three Eyes', and 'High Five!'. My five year old loves the song about the 7's and yells throughout the house " WE WANT CAKE! WHERE'S OUR CAKE? This will go on, she never tires of them. BUY IT FOR YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!
