Bought this for my daughter when she was 6 months, but put it away for a little bit when I discovered all she wanted to do was chew on it! She's now 9.5 months old, and is much more interested in looking at the pictures and turning the pages. I love how sturdy and thick the pages are, and, of course, the chirruping sound at the end is super cute. The size is also perfect for her little hands. Wonderful book! A great addition to her little library!

I purchased this book when my oldest was 1 year old. That was 9 yrs ago. My middle child, who is 6 yrs old now, still loves this book. Admittedly, he wants to hurry to the last page to figure out how it "magically" chirps. When I resurrected this book for my new baby, we found that the last page had been opened so many times that the poor cricket no longer chirps. I have many children's books in my home, and this particular book is one of my children's favorites. Now, I need to replace this book, and am so happy it is still available! It's destined to become my youngest child's favorite book.
