In an ever increasing world where Yoga is more about pushing yourself to the limits this is a refreshing change. The Sivananda program described in this book is one of practice patience and relaxation. There is a lot of merit to relaxing in between asana's and this book has a strong emphasis on relaxation. This book also focuses on Pranayama and Meditation which are usually cut out of Yoga classes due to time. This is a must have book for all serious practitioners. This is also a great book for beginning students. I own a huge library of Yoga books and this is the best book by far and the one that I always return to time and time again.
