The Secret Life of Bees in now on my list of favorites.
when my duaghter took the book to school, she opened it up to find the first 30 pages were not there.
This is a very quick and easy read. It is a good "chick book". It kept me interested from the first page and I could hardly put it down. It is set in the South and the 60's so there is racial issues as well as a young girl yearning for the truth about her deceased mother.
A wonderful, entertaining story on how love and forgiveness can change a persons life. Well written.
I received this as a gift from one of my students. I like to read, so I started it and I was more than pleasantly surprised. It was hard to put down once I started it!
