the principles of knitting
excellent teaching and reference. lots of us have come to the craft of knitting on our own, and as it is often the small straw that turns someone from curious to frustrated, this can bridge the gap. it is well written in plain english with diagrams and illustrations to help the visualization often needed to make the mind grasp what the hands need to do without thinking. good to have in every knitting library.
