In this sequel to the 2006 hit THE PINK PANTHER, Steve Martin is back as the less-than-smooth Inspector Clouseau. This time around, he matches wits with Chief Inspector Dreyfus, played by fellow comedic genius John Cleese. THE PINK PANTHER 2 also features returning stars Jean Reno and Emily Mortimer, as well as newcomers to the series Andy Garcia, Alfred Molina, and Aishwarya Rai.

Steve Martin, back in the avatar of the bumbling, accident prone French connoisseur manages to tickle your funny bone like he did in the first one. A master of situational comedy, his antics have you in splits for most part of the film. Add a precariously funny Frech accent and you have Steve Martin doing what he does best - comedy!!The world is shaken by a series of international thefts done by the anonymous "Tornado". A dream team of detectives is formed from experts all over the world to nab this thief and France is represented by none other than Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin).Clouseau loses respect of his peers through a series of stupid and nonsensical acts which is his forte. Ultimately, even after stupid and horrendous acts that make headlines, to being taken off the case, he does find the thief who stole the Pink Panther via the most ingenious ways which only Clouseau can pull off.
I thought the first one was better (and the originals are the best). While there were a few funny moments they were overshadowed by Three Stooges style violence. While we never really saw anyone get hurt very bad I am not a huge fan of people getting hurt for laughs. But if you are or if it doesn't bother you then this movie might be up your alley! The one thing I did appreciate about this movie is they were able to keep the innuendos and double entendres to a minimum which many movies aimed at a younger audience have a hard time doing these days.
