Standing on the fringes of life offers a unique perspective…but there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor.

Since its publication, Stephen Chbosky’s haunting debut novel has received critical acclaim, provoked discussion and debate, grown into a cult phenomenon with over three million copies in print, spent over one year at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list, and inspired a major motion picture starring Logan Lerman and Emma Watson.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a story about what it’s like to travel that strange course through the uncharted territory of high school. The world of first dates, family dramas, and new friends. Of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Of those wild and poignant roller-coaster days known as growing up.

    • Why I love The Perks of Being A Wallflower

This is one of the best books that I have read in some time.I was really, really touched by the main character Charlie.I loved what a gentle character he was.The other characters I thought were well developed like Patrick and Sam.I even loved the music that makes up Charlie`s mixed tape to Patrick especially since I am a major Morrissey/Smith`s fan.I guess I see a little Charlie in myself.Besides that I highly recommend this book.I really loved it.It`s my new favorite book.Read it now!

I had been thinking about buying this book as its been a young adult favorite for years as well as banned by those who feel the material is inappropraite. Overstock had the lowest price of all the major booksellers.

    • Perks of Being a Wallflower

My favorite book. A sweet and compelling look at what it means to grow up, the changes you face, and the way you begin to view yourself. Everyone can relate to Charlie. It'll make you laugh, it'll make you cry and it will definately make you think.
