This is a great book for any child approaching kindergarten, but it was perfect for me because I gave it to my "special needs" preschool students who just "graduated" to kindergarten. The book features a child approaching that big day when it will first attend kindergarten and addresses some of the concerns kids have about that event. Highly recommended for that purpose and fun to read for anyone.

My little girl loves this book as she prepares for kindergarten. It shows the truth of the tale that the kids are ready it's just the mom's and dad's that aren't. Love it and recommend it.

This is a great and fun story for those children who are entering Kindergarten. I read it to my new students at K orientation and have given it as gifts to new K teachers as well.

This is really a cute book- coming from a preschool teacher and a mom of small children, I originally bought this from Scholastic- a 95 cent special years ago.... and have misplaced it---- there are LOTS of books that follow this well loved book---- a good thing to introduce to young children- begin with this one and move on to halloween, thanksgiving and they will ADORE the Christmas poem even more! (Be sure to get the Mary Englebreight version!)

This book is adorable for a child entering Kindergarten. Our granddaughter has us read it over and over. The shipping was the worst though. It took weeks to get here and she had already stated school before it arrived.
