I like this decorating book! I recently purchased two other design books that were highlighted in magazines as great new books in the design field. I found them no use at all and promptly returned them, seriously, only two pages in both books I'd even use. This decorating book was a much better fit for me with lots of usable ideas.

I just ordered this along with a few other design staples (from Thom Filicia, Nate Berkus, and Domino), and I love it. Especially helpful are the room layout ideas. It is definitely geared to the modern-inclined (which I love), but my very traditional husband likes it as well. I'd recommend it for anyone interested in home design, especially first-timers.
