The Mixed-Up Chameleon

I bought this book for my good friend's 3 yr old daughter, and after i finished reading through it, it inspired me to write her a message on the inside flap of the book. The theme of the book is wonderful and really helps the child to understand that no matter what, in the end, it is always best to be yourself. Buy it, read it, you will get all gooy inside and will want to share it with that special kid in your life too. Kudos to the author, very good language, beautiful art and color. Overall, a winner.

This is yet another fine book from Eric Carle. The story is cute as well as thought provoking for kids and adults. The art work is, as usual, interesting and pleasing to the eye. My kids and I love the books by Carle. We were lucky enough to see a segment on Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood featuring Mr. Carle. There was a nice interview and a demonstration of how he creates his art. The method he uses is unique and inspiring to one's inner creativity. You can't go wrong with a book from Eric Carle!

The book is great for a 2 year old for the price. The colors and pictures are simple and vibrante. It is not a board book but the pages are sturdy.

I'd never seen this before and ordered it on a whim. It's a delightful story and with fresh, upbeat illustrations, a wonderful companion to The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
